Dan + Shay songs to listen to!

Here's a short list for my semi-country fans who are just getting into the genre! Dan and Shay are artists that I discovered through a friend of mine who really loves their music. It's country, but don't think cowboys and horses, or any yeehaw's. All their music is quite impactful, catchy, and almost has a modern pop beat to it. I call it modern country pop. These are some of my favourites!

1. Speechless

AHHHHH, this song is just breathtakingly beautiful! It has such a good mix of soul and pop. It has such a great message of love, and overall, it's a very upbeat song. The lyrics talk about falling in love, how it feels like, and what it's like to be so enamored by someone that you're speechless when you see them.

2. Tequila

Another one of my favourite songs! I feel like this one has more country vibes in it's roots. But it's soft! Again, this feels like such a nostalgic and personal song. It talks about reflecting on a past lover, and all the emotions and feelings that came with the relationship. It also deals with loss, moving on, and reflection. Sung beautifully, with a gorgeous melody run throughout the whole song.

3. 10,000 Hours

This song is amazing! In a collaboration with Justin Bieber, this song celebrates love, and everything about it. In it, they specifically sing about their wives, and everything that they mean to them. How they'll do anything, go anywhere, and travel long hours just to be able to have their love. For all my sappy romantic lovers out here who also like a spice of country, this song is perfect for you!
